TARTARIA

PvEAppalachiaPremiumFrontier

Tartaria is less a map than a country — a premium, primitive-survival frontier modelled on the real Appalachians. Biomes don’t sit in tidy zones; they blend into one continuous, believable wilderness, from frozen northern tundra to humid southern coast.

Resources are deliberately scarce and there are no obelisks, so it plays like genuine homesteading. Pre-built settlements dot the land ready to claim, rare Appalachian variants stalk the wilds, and eleven world bosses wait for those who go looking — built for towns, trade routes and the long game.

WHY TARTARIA?

Tartaria is for the ones who read the crafting menu like a novel — a whole hand-blended frontier with no obelisks, scarce oil, and pre-built towns waiting for a mayor. Found something. Name it. Make the map yours.

Life on Appalachia comes with:

  • PvE-only — nobody can raid you
  • No wipes — your homestead endures
  • A true open frontier, no obelisks
  • Pre-built towns free to claim
  • Rare Appalachian wildlife variants
  • Made for trade routes & RP

THE LEGEND OF TARTARIA

The old maps named a vast empire past the edge of the known world — Tartaria, the country always rumoured and never reached. The sages say a land that can be named is not the eternal land; this one kept its true name to itself. Even the Overseers who first shaped it raised no obelisks — they left only wide sky, deep woods, and notes in a traveller’s hand that no one has finished reading. The first to arrive didn’t conquer it. They moved in.

KEY RESOURCES

Oil

Scarce and prized; scattered fields reward wide scouting.

Metal

Found in pockets, not mountains — stockpile when you can.

Crystal

Uncommon; ration it for the gear that truly matters.

Wood & Thatch

Abundant — the honest backbone of frontier builds.

Stone

Plentiful ground material for your homestead’s walls.

SURVIVAL TIPS

Building

Claim one of the pre-built settlements, or pick a homestead near water and resources — trips are long, so choose your ground well.

Taming

Good tames are uncommon (variants spawn ~30% of the time), so grab a strong one whenever you find it — you may not see another for a while.

Resources

Stockpile relentlessly. Oil especially is scarce; scout wide and bring it home whenever you can.

Navigation

There are no obelisks and few landmarks — learn to read the land itself, and mark your routes early.

PvE Tips

Pack for extremes in both directions: the frozen north and the hot, humid south can kill you on the same expedition.

“The old empire left us roads, towns and no explanations. Suits me fine — I never liked being explained to.”
